I love to make films with my dogs. One of these days I might try dressing them up as super heroes to make a film, but for now I’ll let them be dogs. I have been writing short film scripts and I try to include a dog in each story.
A recent effort is a short film “dogumentary” depicting an important Public service message about shelter dogs. Black Dogs in particular need our support. I interviewed a number of dogs to get their take on how they feel about being black or white and I learned that they would like equality, just like anyone else in the world.
Farmageddon
This is my latest passion project. It is about farm animals, forest animals and circus animals that unite to plan a way to influence humans to be more sustainable in the world in which they collectively live. It is based on the true story of the foundation of Farmhouse Garden Animal Sanctuary.
The Messengers
I made this when I lived in California for a month. I had the privilege of taking care of a beautiful cat, named PeeWee. She became the star of this film.
Therapy Dawg
This is my first short film.
“A hedonistic musician tries to impress a woman by sitting for her therapy dog-in-training and learns a thing or two about being a faithful companion.”
When a veterinarian gets called away to her client’s house to put down an old service dog, her new boyfriend sees an opportunity to regain her trust by offering to dog sit her puppy-in-training.
He gets more than be bargained for when he goes overboard trying to care for the puppy and finds that he is the one in need of assistance.
Therapy Dawg is a heartwarming comedy about the different ways people and dogs view loyalty.
Go Far Kid / SMASH (Working Titles)
Here’s a project I’ve been working on… Inspired by the music of my favorite band, The Offspring. I’m in the process of showcasing it around to see if there’s interest in pursuing it. Gringo Bandito is a hot sauce made by Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring. This is Herman, he was my favorite dog. RIP Herman and thanks for all the great memories! We shot this in one take. What a pro!

This is my old dog Kylie. She was cast in this short film. Kylie stars as Milo in this wonderful and quirky film by Andrew Hull. She received a full screen credit for the character of Milo and I received a screen credit for “dog wrangler.” The cast and crew were amazing and Mary Margaret O’Hara was so sweet to both Kylie and me. It was truly a great experience and I love that I have this awesome keepsake. Click the video to watch her scenes.
